Taiwo dreams Champions League football

On loan from AC Milan but undaunted that he would prove critics wrong, Dynamo Kiev’s left back, Taye Taiwo has declared that they must overcome German champions Borussia Dortmund in two legs to progress to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

''For all of us it is very important to beat the German team and get into the Champions League group stage. I can’t wait to play in the Champions league again and it would be great to see the Germans beaten so that we can show Europe the stuff we are made of.”

Taiwo who played his third game in the Ukrainian championship on Saturday in Dynamo Kiev’s one-nil loss to Vorskla is very confident that fellow Nigerians, Ayila and Ideye will make the dream realised, “Ideye is playing well right now and if he hits his right momentum, Dortmund will be in trouble. Ayila too is in a good form. I’m sure we will do well to make to Europe.”
