Clubs fight for Gbenga Arokoyo's signature

Two French clubs, a Portuguese side and Dutch club are queuing for the signature of Mjällby prodigy Gbenga Arokoyo.

Reports indicate that Lille and Nice already had spies on the Nigerian while Benfica and Twente Enschede are also lining out bids for the player who keeps impressing in the Swedish league.

Gbenga Arokoyo is considered one of Nigeria’s greatest talents in Sweden but Mjallby club Chief Jorgen Martinsson is not in a hurry to let go of the player.

“We know what the expectations placed on him, but it's a bit early to talk about this yet. We have a three-year contract with him.”

Lille, Nice, Benfica and Twente are ready to break the bank for the centre back who hails from Kabba in Kogi State.
