Keshi/NFA crisis meeting in Abuja

A crisis meeting between Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi and officials of the Nigeria Football Association is currently going on in Abuja as both parties are at loggerheads over the choice of players for the Nigeria/Liberia Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Keshi is unhappy with the stance of the committee that some particular players be included on the September 8 trip to Monrovia.

The squad's chief coach is insisting on taking full control on the players to be listed for the match while the NFA technical committee wants to assert its oversight function by running a check on the list.

It is hoped that the list will be made public tomorrow in Lagos after today’s meeting.
