Ideye sure of Champions League football

Dynamo Kiev striker, Brown Ideye, is excited his side are one step away from the group stage of the Uefa champions league after a convincing 3-1 first-leg victory over VFL Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday.

"I am very happy that we managed to win in Germany. We showed character and our best qualities playing on the counter and we were lucky on the night."

Ideye further revealed that Coach Yuri Semin demanded of the team a reaction after losing to Vorlsa by a lone goal in the league last Saturday.

"The coach wanted an early goal from us after our defeat in Poltava and we worked hard to get it."

He added:"The second leg is more important than the first. I believe in Kiev, we will have to work even harder to achieve the desired result."

"Borussia will try to score an early goal, and I believe our defense has to cope with this task. We have taken the first step on the way to the Champions League group stage," he concluded.
