Mikel Returns for Liberia

The below-par performance of the Super eagle sin their last Nations Cup qualifier against Liberia may have forced team chief coach, Stephen Keshi to pencil down John Mikel Obi for the reverse fixture in Calabar next month.

We can confirm that the Chelsea player who asked to be left out of the Monrovian trip because it was to be played on a plastic turf (the decision was later rescinded by the Liberian Football Association) is one of the stars that would be called upon to fortify the Eagles midfield, which was almost non-existent in the 1st leg.

Also set for a recall to the squad is Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel goaltender, Austin Ejide who is expected to fight for a shirt with Vincent Enyeama whose form of late has been anything but impressive.
