Martins set for Spain, terminates Kazan contract

Obafemi Martins has agreed to terminate his contract with Rubin Kazan. What is left for a formal announcement to be made is a bureaucratic problem. The destination of the Super Eagle is pointing towards Spain.

Deportivo de La Coruña will challenge Levante for the signature of the player. Deportivo La Coruna are shopping in the free agency market for a new striker.

However, Levante are in pole position to land the signature of Martins. There is advanced contact between Martins and the La Liga side, desperate to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Arouna Kone to Wigan in the summer transfer market.

According to reports in Spain, Levante are willing to offer Martins at least a two - year contract with annual wages of 600, 000 euros.
