Sam Ojebode dies

One of Nigeria’s stars of the 1970s and 80s, Sam Ojebode is no more. He bade the earth goodbye Wednesday morning in Ibadan.

A winner of the Africa Cup Winners Cup with IICC Shooting Stars with the likes of Kunle Awesu, Felix Owolabi, Segun Odegbami, Idowu "Slow Poison" Otubusin, Moses Otolorin and others in 1976 could not survive the lung cancer that ravaged him.

Ojebode becomes the third former IICC player to be deceased in last two months, others being Rashidi Yekini and Joe Appiah.
