Eagles will not underrate Liberia

Barely two months to the 1st leg of the Afcon 2013 qualifier between Nigeria and Liberia, Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Keshi has insisted that the Lone Star are not under-dogs and will not be treated as such.

“We should learn to respect every nation because they all have their strength and Liberia is no exception. Yes, we are seen as a better country than them in football but that is not to say that we will run over them, especially now that we are rebuilding the squad.”

Keshi also said the Liberian team is one of Africa’s fastest growing soccer nations and must be faced with all seriousness.

The Lone Star are currently in the USA preparing for the crunch encounter with the Super Eagles and have vowed to stop Nigeria’s ambition to make to South Africa 2013 Nations Cup.
