Prime FC’s Fed Cup conquest continues

Prime FC’s fairytale run in the Federation Cup continues as they ousted yet another big name after the decimation of Rangers of Enugu at the Ibadan zone of the competition. The giant killers devoured mighty Enyimba 2nil to cruise into the last four of the Cup competition.

Taiwo Mayegun and Christopher Akpo scored the goals in either half to give the Oshogbo-based side a very famous victory over last year’s finalists.

Prime will now battle cup holders Heartland for a place in next month’s final, while Nigeria Premier League rivals Pillars and Lobi slug it out for the other spot to the final.

Coach Ademola Adesina (that's his picture up) is delighted with his boys performance so far but not getting carried that all will be smooth as they play in the semi finals.

It was fireworks at the Agege Stadium in Lagos when Pillars beat hard-fighting Plateau United 3-2 in another quarterfinal tie.

In Port Harcourt, cup holders Heartland beat another lower league side Crown FC 2-0 to also progress to the semifinal.

Tony Okpotu scored a hattrick for Lobi Stars to beat Sharks 3-1.
