Siasia wants
Technical Director Job
Like they say, what goes around comes around and this may aptly put into perspective the latest move by former Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia to become the technical director of the Nigeria Football Association.
The Coach who was sacked by the NFA last year after he failed
to qualify Nigeria
for the 2012 Africa Nations Cup in Gabon/Equatorial Guinea is bullish about
getting the job.
“In all honesty and with due respect to my elders in the
business, I think my credentials in handling national teams should give me the
job on merit.”
Siasia promised to apply for the job once the NFA and said
he had what it takes to develop more players as he had done in the past.
“I had to signify my interest as a patriotic Nigeria
since they said they are looking for a Nigerian for the job. I know what it
takes to discover talents from the
grassroots and nurture them with the collaboration of the national team
coaches. We are facing the dearth of
quality players in this country and it is high time we did something drastic
about it.”
