Martins under threat!

Obafemi Martins faces a fresh threat in Rubin Kazan as the Russian club is making a play for Newcastle United striker Demba Ba.

Reports from Russia today indicated that Ba's £7million release clause had been activated by the Russian Premier League side.

But it’s understood that there has been "no contact" between the Magpies and the Russian outfit.

The player still has six days left in which the clause can be triggered.
