defender, Per Matersacker has crowned former Super Eagles captain, Austin
Okocha as Nigeria ’s
best player of all time.
Speaking in Lagos at an event put together by Malta Guinness for Arsenal football Club Stars on Sunday, the Gunner said Jayjay alongside other Nigerian stars showed class
in their playing days.
“Okocha is the best Nigerian player I have ever seen. He was
awesome on the ball and a delight to watch. I still remember his days in the
Bundesliga and how he punished Oliver Khan.”

Bacary Sagna and new signing Lukas Podolski were also at the launch of the Malta Guinness Low Sugar Workout, which took place at the
Ball Room of Eko Hotel. Gunners’ forward Tomas Rosicky missed the trip after he
sustained an injury in a pre-season game.
