Team Nigeria to wear traditional attire

Team Nigeria athletes taking part in Friday’s opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will wear traditional clothing in an unprecedented act of solidarity with other competing nation's  athletes who will also be wearing traditional dress.

The Nigerians will be led out by flag bearer, Boltic Sinivie competing in the 96kg Freestyle wrestling. 

The Nigerian contingent will be clad in their white attire that is sprinkled with green, making up the national colours of the largest black nation in the World.

The opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games are scheduled for Friday, July 27
