Okagbare wins Monaco Diamond League

Nigeria’s brightest hope for a medal in the sprints at the London 2012 Olympics, Blessing Okagbare is peaking at the right time as she superbly led the 100 metres field at Friday’s Monaco Grand Prix.

The elegant Nigerian who won the London leg of the Samsung Diamond League in Crystal Palace, London last week ran a personal best of 10.96 seconds to send warning signals to fellow athletes that she is coming up strong for the Olympics.
