Galatasaray lures Martins  to Turkey

Days after his planned return to the English Premier League side, West Brom was scuttled by officials of Rubin Kazan, Obafemi Martins is attracting interest from  Turkish champions Galatasaray who are planning to grab the striker Obafemi Martins on a one-year deal his Russian club..

Galatasaray have offered 2m euros for the striker but Rubin are looking to recoup around £3million through the deal. Martins wage demands of around £40,000 a week could also prove a stumbling block for the summer move.

Martins, who has also played for former Italian champions Inter Milan, had a spell in England with Newcastle United before joining German outfit Wolfsburg.
