Emenike dreams Eagles return

Still in cloud nine after his sensational new four year deal with Spartak Moscow of Russia, Emmanuel Emenike’s next dream is to get back to the Super Eagles after about eight months hiatus and the player is making no pretences about his desire.

“I want to play for my country again. It’s been a while I wore our jersey and it’s not making me happy at all. I deserve a call-up and once it’s gotten, I will do everything in my power to justify the confidence reposed in me.”

Emenike has been ignored by Coach Stephen Keshi since he took over as Nigeria’s coach and now Emenike says he is hoping to be back in the squad ahead of the the Afcon qualifier against the Loner Star of Liberia.

“I am ready to contribute my quota to make sure we qualify whenever my services are needed. Though I’ve not played under the new coach, I am still waiting and looking forward to playing for him in the future games,” Emenike said.
