'Yobo move close', Episode 32

Stop us if you've heard this one before... Joseph Yobo's move to Fenerbahçe is being described as 'close' to completion... which various media sources have been reporting for weeks now as the summer's most annoying transfer saga drags on into August.

The fee that has apparently been agreed is still €2.5m and the only new information from Turkish-Football.com appears to be that Fenerbahçe's manager told his superiors he needs the deal sorted out in short order seeing as the Turkish league season kicks off in 19 days, and that the Nigerian defender is set to return to Turkey in the coming week to resume pre-season training with the Yellow Canaries.

Yobo apparently spent a week at Finch Farm training with Everton before going to Nigeria to await the finalisation of his permanent transfer to Fenerbahçe...
