Kano Pillars striker replaces Ekigho Ehiosun in Samsunspor

Kano Pillars striker Gambo Mohammed is poised to replace compatriot Ekigho Ehiosun at relegated Turkish club Samsunspor, his agent said.

Last season, Ehiosun shone for Samsunspor on loan from Warri Wolves before he moved on the Genclerbirligi in the close season.

According to the player’s agent, Emmanuel Omigie, Mohammed is expected to bag a deal with Samsunspor should he impress officials of the former club of Ehiosun.

"We have two clubs on the table, Samsunspor being one of them and hopefully if he impresses, he would nail something down,” said Omigie, who brokered Ehiosun’s switch to Samsunspor.

Gambo Mohammed has been instrumental in the surge of Pillars to the top of the table as well as reaching the last four of the Federation Cup. He is due to depart the country on Friday for Turkey.

His absence would be a big blow to Pillars, who only need to win at Sunshine Stars on the last day of the Nigeria Premier League season to land their second league championship.
