Sports ministry for Team Nigeria
One of Nigeria ’s
table tennis players to the London 2012 Olympics, Offiong Edem has lambasted
the National Sports Commission for the misfortune and disgrace that has become
the lot of Team Nigeria
at the on-going Olympics saying they did not prepare the Nigerian contingent
well for the Games.
The light-skinned ping ponger revealed that while other countries
were busy taking part in tournaments prior to the Games, they were camped in a
remote German town practicing with one another.
The player who was bundled out alongside Funke Oshonaike,
Aruna Quadri and Segun Toriola is aghast that Nigeria
sports officials think less apout the athletes and that is why the country will
never do well in international tournaments!
