Fit-again Joel Obi to extend Inter deal

Joel Obi can’t wait for the start of the Serie A season, he got back to training after weeks in the cooler no thanks to the thigh injury he sustained towards the end of the last season!

“I can’t wait for the new season to commence. I am not too far from full recovery. I am working very hard to be fit and I can’t wait to return to the squad. I've been here at Inter for about seven years ago and I am happy with my progress. I've played about 50 games so far , but that for me is nothing. I will try and play more games this season.”

And news out of Italy indicates that the midfielder is set to extend his current contract with former Serie A champions Inter Milan till year 2017.
