Nsofor eyes Eagles  comeback

Russia-based forward Obinna Nsofor has said he is fully fit and ready to stage a return to the Super Eagles.

“I am looking forward to a return to Eagles because I am fit now and look good,” said the former Inter Milan ace, who has yet to play under coach Stephen Keshi.

A knee injury has limited his appearances for both club and country last season.

But he has already shown in pre-season with his Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow that he has regained his sharpness.

He was on target for his club against Partizan Belgrade Tuesday, when he struck in the 8th minutes to give his team a 2-0 lead.

“I have been doing well since we arrived here and this is my first goal here, it is a good sign for me as we approach the new season,” he said after the match.

“I am praying for an injury-free season so I can do more in the new season.”

Lokomotiv open the 2012/2013 league season campaign away to Mordovia on Sunday, July 22.
