Martinez to keep Victor Moses as he bolsters squad

WIGAN boss Roberto Martinez is hoping to add three new faces to his squad while battling to keep hold of Victor Moses.

Arsenal are eyeing the Nigeria star, 21, in case Theo Walcott refuses a new deal.

Chelsea and Liverpool lead the chase, but Chairman Dave Whelan has slapped a £12m price tag on the club’s prized asset.

Wigan have already resisted two bids from the Blues and Martinez hopes to keep the core of his squad.

“Over the next week, I want to see how the players respond to the work ahead,” he said.

“After that, we’ll look to make some additions to the squad.

“I do feel we need at least two players with experience and a younger face, which will make the perfect number for us.”
