Liberia begins  preparation for Nigeria

The Lone Star of Liberia, the Super Eagles opponents in the last stage of qualification for the Arfica Nations Cup, South Africa 2013, will begin preparation for Nigeria July 28 as they face the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica in an international friendly at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut, U.S.A.

The Liberian team has struggled more in international competition. They did produce the FIFA World Player of the Year in 1995, George Weah, but they have never made it to the World Cup Finals. Having qualified for the African Cup of Nations twice, in 1996 and 2002, the team is hoping to finally begin showing the world the strength of Liberian soccer.

They lock horns with Nigeria September and October in Monrovia and Calabar for the Africa Nations Cup ticket.

  1. The Liberians don,t stand a chance against a more determined, rejuvenated, reloaded and well rebuild Super Eagles of Nigeria by Stephen Keshi. But the Eagles should be on their toes. remember what happened en route to 2002 Korea/Japan Wcup qualifier, so the boys must fight through out the 180 minutes game{away and home}.My name is Sunday Osunkwo, A Radio sports presenter based in Lagos.
