Emenike is happy in Spartak Moscow
Emmanuel Emenike will continue playing in the Russian
Premier League, he has told the media in the country.
Heavily linked with a move away from Spartak Moscow this
summer, the Nigeria
international showed his loyalty to the club by putting pen to paper on four-
year deal last month.
Emenike was quoted as saying by bobsoccer.ru : ''All this
talk about the clause in my contract, ostensibly to allow the Turkish club to
buy me for 10 million euros - is nonsense. Up to a point I liked Fenerbahce ,
but now I'm happy in Spartak Moscow and the new contract - that's
confirmation.''
Adds the former Karabükspor ace: '' I do not know how much
time is spent in this team. Maybe two years, and maybe all four. But in any
case, I can not leave without having done for Spartak Moscow and its fans
something very important. They are tired of waiting for trophies. My mission -
to make their dreams a reality.''
The 25-year-old was reportedly on the wishlist of Chelsea ,
Liverpool , Manchester
City and Lazio in the summer
transfer window.
