Mikel prays for Moses move to Chelsea

John Mikel Obi has said he is looking forward to having compatriot Victor Moses join him at EPL side Chelsea.

Chelsea and Wigan Athletic are locked in talks over winger Moses and Mikel told said it would be a good move should it finally sail through.

"Victor Moses is a good player, we all saw what he did last season. I will gladly welcome him and make him feel at home if he comes here. It would be a good move for him and I am sure he will make it big here."

It has now been reported that Chelsea have been told to increase their offer for Moses to meet the club’s new  asking price of £8.5m after their third bid was turned down.

Chelsea have already failed with three offers to sign the Nigeria international, the latest being a £7.5m offer.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gualay held talks with Wigan supremo Dave Whelan on resolution of the transfer imbroglio.
