Falconets off to Japan
The team left Nigeria on August 1st for South Korea on a
two-week training tour where they played three friendly matches besides
training sessions to equip them for the World Cup scheduled to begin on August
19th through September 8.
The girls won the two friendly matches played in Korea thus
far and are poised to feature in their third and final game today ahead of
their short trip to neighbours Japan on Tuesday.
Falconets are pooled in Group B alongside, South
Korea , Italy
and Brazil and
they open their account on Sunday August 19th with a match against Korea .
They play Brazil
next on August 22nd before their last group match against Italy
on August 26th.
