Liberia sends warning signals

Liberia yesterday sent a warning signal to the Super Eagles ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier .

The Lone Star  defeated Malawi 1-0 in an international friendly match, which they played at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville outside, Monrovia to prepare for the first leg of the last round of the Nations Cup qualifying series.

The only goal of the Lone Star was scored in the 88th minute by Indonesia-based midfielder Zah Krangar following a period of dominance by Liberia.

The win was Liberia’s boss Kaetu Smith’s first in charge of the side and he believes that the match has given him an insight on how he would approach the qualifier against the star studded Nigerian side on Saturday.
