Ajose finally get date for world title fight

It has now been confirmed that Commonwealth Light Welterweight champion and WBC Super Light Welterweight number one contender, Oluwasegun Ajose will take on Lucas Martin Matthysse of Argentina, for the interim WBC Light Welterweight title slated for the United States of America on September 8 this year.

The pugilist looks forward to the bout with optimism, “Matthysse is a very good boxer, very tough. He is a confident character. However, I think I can beat him because I am better than him. I am as tough as he is, if not better. He can punch very well and I too can punch. He is also fast but I am faster.

“He is skillful and I am more skillful than him. So, I think I am more talented than him and I think my speed will see me through. It’s not going to be an easy fight, but it’s a hell of a job and somebody has to do it and I am capable of doing it,” Ajose said.
