Obodo: Police arrest three more suspects











The Delta State Police Command has arrested three more persons in connection with the kidnap of Super Eagles Star, Christian Obodo.
Those arrested are Efe Okoh, Okoh Omonkoye and Caroline Victor.
It was learnt that the confessions of the three suspects who were earlier arrested led to the fresh arrests.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Charles Muka, said the three suspects were arrested in Ovwian Aladja area of the state.
He added that the police recovered one locally-made single-barrelled gun, three catridges and other lethal weapons from the suspects.
The suspects, it was gathered, are being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Asaba.
Obodo was kidnapped in Warri, Delta State, a few weeks ago and regained his freedom more than 24 hours after in the kidnappers’captivity.
The Udinese of Italy player reportedly escaped from his abductors at Emevor in Isoko area of the state.
Meanwhile, one Mary Nenyiaba who was seized in her poultry farm along Benin/Asaba Expressway has been rescued by the police.
The victim, who was abducted on Friday, was rescued at Igbanke, Edo State.
