Nigeria Premier League matches still on hold

Will Nigeria witness another ‘recording-breaking’ NPL season like last year? There will be no Premier League matches this weekend because of the on-going Federation Cup competition which enters the Round of 32.

Publicist of the Nigeria Premier League, Emma Njoku quotes the body’s Acting Executive Secretary, Tunji Babalola as saying that the clubs and other stakeholders would be communicated on the new date for the resumption of League matches.

Nigeria infamously ran the longest league season in world football history last year.
