More NPL clubs dumped out of Federation Cup
The Federation Cup is really living up its billing and this
season’s edition is claiming more top notch casualties with every passing day.
The trend started on Monday when unknown Fame Academy of
Lagos got the scalp of 3SC of Ibadan
while Wikki Tourists were shown the way out by Prime of Oshogbo who stunned them
2-1.
The underdogs continued from where they left off Wednesday
evening as two more Nigeria
Premier League sides were bundled out of the competition.
Plateau United humiliated the defending champions of the NPL,
Dolphins of Port Harcourt 1nil while Rising Stars were downed 5-4 on penalties
by El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, a side that just got promoted to the elite
division.
